Your Neighborhood Orthodontist

Trusted by Families in Gravesend

Brace Central Orthodontics is a Gravesend practice. Our office at 2468 Coney Island Avenue sits inside the neighborhood, so for families around Avenue U, McDonald Avenue and Ocean Parkway the orthodontist is a few minutes away rather than a trip across Brooklyn. Avenue U and McDonald Avenue is under a mile from our door. We treat children, teenagers and adults with four orthodontists on staff: Dr. Polina Ingberman, Dr. Amalya Igityan, Dr. Raitzel Bernstein and Dr. Ezro Yadgarov. Below you will find our services, how to reach us from the rest of Gravesend, and what your first visit looks like.

Our Services

Treatments We Offer

Our practice addresses the full range of orthodontic concerns, from early childhood evaluations through adult treatment.

Orthodontic Treatment

Treatment begins with understanding your specific needs. The most common reasons to see an orthodontist are malaligned teeth and poor occlusion. Orthodontic problems left untreated can affect other parts of your mouth over time, so early evaluation is important. We recommend children have their first orthodontic screening by age 7, when jaw growth can still be guided to help prevent more complex treatment later.

Orthodontic Disorders

Conditions such as overbites, underbites, crossbites, and open bites require specialized diagnosis and treatment planning. Orthodontists usually align the teeth first, and if surgery is needed, it is typically performed by a surgical specialist like an oral surgeon. Our doctors evaluate each case thoroughly to determine whether braces, Invisalign, or a combined approach will help improve the outcome.

Invisalign

Invisalign offers a clear, removable alternative to traditional braces for kids, teens, and adults. Our doctors are Invisalign Pearl Providers.

Braces

Braces remain one of the most effective treatments for complex orthodontic cases. We use Damon self-ligating brackets by Ormco, Symetri clear porcelain brackets by Ormco, and Carriere Votion appliances by Henry Schein.

Your First Visit

Contact Us

We offer complimentary consultations for new patients. At your first appointment, one of our doctors will examine your teeth, bite, and jaw alignment using digital X-rays and our iTero scanner. Usually, orthodontists need to evaluate the records and develop an appropriate treatment plan before braces can be placed, so your initial visit is focused on assessment and discussion, with no pressure to start treatment that same day.

After-school and late afternoon appointments are available. Our staff speaks English, Russian, and Ukrainian. We accept most dental insurance plans with orthodontic coverage and provide interest-free monthly payment plans. To schedule, call our office at (718) 998-1888.
